Biography
Raghava is head and professor of computational biology at IIIT Delhi. He received his M.Tech from IIT Delhi and Ph.D. from IMTECH, Chandigarh. He worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at Oxford University UK (1996-98), Bioinformatics specialist at UAMS, USA (2002-3 & 2006) and visiting a professor at POSTECH, South Korea in 2004. He worked as a scientist for 30 years (1986-2016) in IMTECH, Chandigarh. His group developed more than 250 web servers, 200 research papers, 80 Copyrights/patents, 35 databases, and mirror sites. He got following major awards/recognition i) Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 2018, ii) National Bioscience Award by DBT in 2016, iii) J. C. Bose national fellowship by DST; iv) fellow of National Academy of Sciences (F.N.A.Sc); and v) fellow of Indian Academy of Science (F.A.Sc.) Bangalore. Raghava is listed in top 1% highly cited researchers by Thomson Reuters in 2014.
